Manama, Bahrain: Amwaj Islands yesterday held its first Annual General Assembly of Amwaj Islands’ Central Owners Association.
A large turnout of land, villa, and building owners, along with representatives of existing Joint properties & Main Associations in Amwaj Islands joined together, where a quorum of 56.06% was reached which enabled the meeting to commence.
The event was held at the Art Rotana Hotel, located in the prestigious Amwaj Islands, where months of collaboration between Amwaj Islands, its residents, RERA and BCS Management Company, was successfully concluded yesterday, and Amwaj Islands Central Owners Association was resolved to be formed and Board Members were elected.
The meeting was Chaired by Mr. Jameel Al Matrook, Vice Chairman of Ossis, the Master Developer of Amwaj Islands, which has lasted for approximately Four hours. Mr. Al Matrook said, “We are extremely happy with the turn-out and the engagement of the Owners. We appreciate all the people who took the time out of their busy schedules to help make this happen, which will only help make Amwaj Islands a better Community, which is what we strive for.”
There were 18 qualified nominees for the Central Owners Association's Board; after a transparent voting process, 7 members were elected by the attendees. those members are Mr. Abdul-Aziz Buhajeeh, Mr. Abdulla Nooruddin, Mr. Hussain Kazerooni, Mr. Yousif Khalaf, Mr. Mohammed Nouri, Mr. Mohammed Abbas Haji and Mr. Jameel Al Matrook.
This would be the first and only Central Owners Association of this scale and diversity to be formed In the Kingdom of Bahrain.© Press Release 2020
