Doha, Qatar, July 3, 2011: Mannai Automotive Group,  the exclusive franchise for GMC vehicles in Qatar, today unveiled the recently customized Special Edition GMC Sierra (MCM Package).  The all new vehicle from GMC, the watchword for pickup trucks, has now been enhanced with added accessories, and an impressive look.

The 8 Cylinder, 5.3 Litre GMC Sierra Special Edition comes with 6-speed Automatic Transmission fully equipped with MCM package, custom stripe, lift kit, dual exhaust with stainless steel tips, 20" wheel and tires, chrome grill, special interior dash trim, chrome handle and mirror, bucket cloth seats, remote start, rear parking sensor, rear view camera, USB port and 4x4 option.

The Sierra is offered in three cab styles, three cargo box lengths and has a range of specially tuned suspensions. There is also the top-of-the-line Denali, which brings a level of specification easily equal to that of a luxury sedan. "GMC has a long history of producing quality pick-ups, and this shows through in our Sierra range, which leads its segment in many ways. The Sierra features an excellent, spacious interior, along with some fairly unique attributes," said Mr Helmy.

The  edition clearly embodies GMC's Professional Grade philosophy, and is shown through its strong and refined appearance, muscular stance and neatly rounded edges. The look of the Sierra's front-end, including hood, bumpers, lamps and rear-box design, are unique to the GMC brand.

The Sierra range comes with a choice of short, standard and long cargo-bed designs. Innovative features such as 170-degree-opening rear access with fully retractable power windows on extended cab models, and theatre-style folding rear seats, give increased versatility to the range. The cargo-box design improves flexibility and capacity, and other features include reduced-effort tailgates and an end cap on each tailgate for an integrated spoiler lip.

GMC is admired for the build precision of all its vehicles, including the  Sierra. All panels are flush, with a virtually seamless transition between the hood and front fenders. There are extremely tight tolerances around the grille, fenders and front bumper; the grille-to-bumper gap is 17 mm while the headlamp-to-fender gap just 1.5 mm. The Sierra's interior is extremely quiet, spacious and refined, and is designed around the comfort of passengers.

Base- and mid-level models take a "pure pickup" theme, with features such as door panels with large door pull and release handles, various seat configurations, a unique centre console and under-seat storage systems that provide a power outlet and 9.1 litres of lockable space. The two glove boxes--a traditional lower glove box and a covered upper storage compartment--provide an additional 3.4 litres of extra storage capacity.

Premium interior models come with a single large glove box that offers approximately 25 per cent more storage capacity. The interior layout offers plenty of legroom, headroom and hip room. All Sierra interiors have a high level of craftsmanship, including flush surfaces, tight gaps and tolerances throughout--most gaps on the instrument panels and clusters measure no more than 0.5 mm. Soft-touch and low-gloss trim finishes are used throughout; the colour and grain of the materials are carefully selected to provide a premium look.

Even the base models are packed with equipment. The Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist system provides on-screen, visual and audible warnings of objects behind the vehicle. An easy-to-use tyre pressure monitoring system is standard on all models, alerting the driver in the event of a slow puncture. In addition, a segment-exclusive factory-installed remote vehicle starting system is available on most models.
