23rd June 2005: Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has contributed BD 1,000 to the Bahrain Maritime Sports Association to help support the Thirteenth Al Bareh International Sailing Regatta, which involves teams from all over the world every year.
The contribution was presented by Wajd Al Madani, Alba's Acting General Manager of Administration, who presented the cheque on behalf of Alba to No'aman Rashid Al Hassan, Bahrain Maritime Sports Association General Secretary. Also present was Moh'd Al Areifi and Yousif Bu Allai, Public Relations officers in the Bahrain Maritime Sports Association.
"Alba's contribution enables the association to support the national team representing Bahrain regionally and internationally," said Mr. Al Hassan. "Our young sailing champions need financial and moral support to compete in maritime sports around the world," he said.
"Alba is very keen to encourage young Bahrainis in all fields and the sailing regatta is an opportunity for the company to help our young sailors become among the best in a world recognized sport," said Wajd Al Madani.
