Amman, Jordan-08 October 2007 - Al Salam International for Transport and Trading Co Plc recently appointed Mr. Alaa A. Batayneh, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Batayneh has an extensive career of over 17 years in areas pertaining to management and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Al Salam's team, Mr. Batayneh took on the posts of Director General of the Jordan Customs Department, the Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Transport, and is a member of the board of several companies. Before that, he worked in the private sector in the USA and the UK. Jordan Customs, under the leadership of Mr. Batayneh, was awarded the King Abdullah II award for excellence for best achievement for the year 2006.
Mr. Batayneh holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering which he obtained from the George Washington University and a Masters Degree in Management Information systems which he obtained from the same learning institution.
