"As part of its strategic goals, the RTA is aspiring to be the first choice of qualified human resources through boosting its competitiveness in attracting highly professional & competent staff, setting up a holistic employee motivation & retention system, and attending to the advancement of employee scientific & practical skills. For this purpose, the RTA has mapped out a comprehensive work plan and program to achieve these goals including the staging of qualifying and training programs to raise the calibre of its human resources," said Al Tayer.

For her part Ms. Kawther Kazim, Director of RTA Human Resources and Development, said: "Tamayaaz program is directly oriented to RTA employees at different job grades through prompting them openly to make distinguished contributions enabling them to stand head & shoulders from their peers in a way that goes beyond the conventional discharge of job tasks.

"This creative program is visualized in a 'Can' placed on the desk of each Director covering a host of rewarding tools that comprise different levels of motivations and & commendations topped by a decoration by H.E. the Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, bearing the very name of the Program (Tamayyaz). Each RTA CEO and Director will nominate a single employee each year, and nominations will be submitted to H.E. the Chairman of the Board for endorsement, where the winner will be decorated with a Special Excellence Reward Certificate," continued Kazim.

"The second type of decoration under the Program is (Ahsant): 'Well Done' Certificate presented by the CEO to a distinguished employee, and the same certificate is submitted biannually by each director.  The decoration package also includes (Shukran) or 'Thank You' Certificate; where each CEO and Director is entitled to offer three Certificates every month to a nominated employee of the Dep't; one for an employee within the Dep't, the second for an employee within the Sector, and the third for an employee outside the Sector in an effort to foster the cooperative spirit and team work across the Agency.

"Under the rewards system, each CEO and Director is issued with a unique check book bearing a fixed annual amount tailored to each Dep't through which cash amounts can be paid upfront to distinguished employees without having to go through the conventional exercise of paying rewards. Moreover, it is possible to offer a single employee a paid hotel accommodation during weekends.

"Tamayyaz system entitles each CEO and Director to offer financial promotion and job promotion, as per the approved conditions & standards in place, to two distinguished staffs each year. By the end of the year the employee who has the highest number of commendation and reward certificates over a year throughout the RTA, will be named as a winner and awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation from RTA Chairman of the Board and Executive Director in addition to a cash reward amounting to 30,000 (thirty thousand) dirham," she elaborated.

The Director of Human Resources & Development called upon all employees to contribute to the success of this innovative program; which fosters a positive competitive atmosphere among employees in various grades at all levels, and is bound to have a positive bearing on the enhanced performance & occupational efficiency, which in turn will contribute to materializing the strategic objectives & goals of the RTA.
