Al Diwaan Restaurant Now Open for Non-Residents;

Enhanced Day Packages Already Hugely Popular

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa, remains the  #1 hotel in Dubai, as the regional hospitality industry gets geared up for Arabian Travel Market (ATM) starting today.

The hotel retains its #1 rating among 430 hotels on the world's most popular travel website, Tripadvisor. "Timeless",   "a must-do" and "one of a kind" are just some of the phrases guests have used in the recent past to describe this desert haven that recently included day experiences to its portfolio.  Visitors to the resort can now indulge themselves and enjoy the matchless hospitality and dining experience, privacy, natural beauty and absolute comfort of Al Maha without having to spend the night.

 Al Maha's stunning signature restaurant, Al Diwaan, will now be open to non-residential guests, who can dine in sophisticated style indoors or alfresco on the veranda with breathtaking views of the reserve.

The resort's day packages have been designed with the discerning guest in mind and are tailor-made to showcase what sets the desert resort apart, be it the exciting activities that you can enjoy only at Al Maha or the stunning spa facilities where one can indulge and revitalize mind, body and soul or even a wonderful meal conjured up by the resort's award-winning chefs to tantalize one's tastebuds.

Corporate packages at the resort have also been enhanced. Companies can now enjoy a completely different off-site experience that could include a dune dinner or participating in exciting desert activities such as falconry, archery or a desert safari. Activities, lunches and dinners can all be tailor-made depending on the requirements of the company.

"The beauty of Al Maha is that whether you visit for a day, a night or a week, be it for leisure, rest and relaxation, a board meeting or a corporate retreat, the experience will be truly memorable and one-of-a-kind.  There truly is no place like it," said Arne Silvis, general manager, Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa.

The resort has also added to its award cabinet in the past year, winning a number of accolades from a variety of different credible sources, bringing further prestige to the region's hospitality industry. Al Maha made it to the Top 100 Overseas Leisure Resorts in the 2011 Condé Nast Traveller Readers Choice Awards, the only hotel from the UAE to be honored in this prestigious list.  The stunningly beautiful desert resort made it to the Top 20 in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean, a testament to the fact that Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa is truly a world-class destination, added Silvis

Al Maha also won two fantastic awards at the much-sought after International Hospitality and Property Awards. Winning both "Best Resort Hotel Dubai" and "Best Resort Hotel Arabia", Al Maha was lauded for its exemplary service standard combined with a growing and unrivalled portfolio of services, not to mention its stunning setting.
