The strategy and development sector of The Office of H.H The Crown Prince of Dubai (CPD) has recently achieved a global recognition being the first entity in the world to receive the (ISO 9001:2015) certificate from Lloyd's Register; the British company specialized in the assessment of global institutions and certification in accordance with the standards of ISO.

H.E Saif bin Markhan Ketbi, Director General of CPD said: "This global achievement, in all its meanings of precession, leadership and pursuit of first place, is actually a continuation of our journey of corporate development and adoption of modern management systems, initiated by our three sectors obtaining the previous version of the ISO certificate (9001: 2008) in addition to the ISO certification for the entire Office in information security system (ISO 27001:2013); all this in less than a year which is a record time," he said.

"These certificates are not the end, but it is the beginning of our journey for the organizational excellence and paving the way for other developmental projects such as self-assessment using the methodology of the Dubai Government Excellence Program developed from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This qualifies us in the near future to enter in the arena of competition with administrative and functional categories," he continued.

The other ongoing projects are expected to be our steps towards the excellence and continuous improvement of the work systems in the Office, keeping pace with the excellence march initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai," he further said. 

"The series of these successes and global accomplishments come in tune with constant guidance and close follow up of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate regarding our orientation towards excellence in general and in the area of ​​ smart government transformation in particular," Al Ketbi added.

He also praised the hard work of the strategy and development team who brought this global honour to the office in house without depending on any external consultant.

Having presented the certificate and shield Mr. Basem Obaid , Regional Manager MENA of Lloyd's Register, said: "The new achievement of strategy and development sector at CPD puts it at tough competition with the rest of government entities in UAE as well as international companies that work on the renovation of quality management systems".

"It's worth mentioning that all three sectors at CPD have already obtained the certificate in accordance with the previous issue (9001: 2008 ISO) earlier this year," he said.

The company principal auditor Mrs. Carol Jamil Al Baradee reviewed the terms and requirements for obtaining the certificate through the evaluation and examination of the quality management system requirements in the strategy and development sector at CPD and confirmed its commitment to implement the highest and latest quality standards in accordance with the latest version of the specification (ISO 9001: 2015).
