Doha, Qatar - 11 March 2007 - Al Jazeera Children's Channel, the first Pan Arabic edutainment channel, announced today the launch of its 'Voyage to the Future' environmental competition for Arab Children. JCC website (www.jcctv.net) will host this competition for the coming two weeks (15 - 29 March 2007). Three participants will win a travel to Mongolia on a 'Voyage to the Future'.
'Voyage to the Future' is an event organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), where a group of students from different Asian countries learn about environmental issues.
Being a member of ABU, Al Jazeera Children's Channel provides the opportunity for Arab children to participate in this year's journey, discover the nature and the wildlife and learn ways to protect their own habitat.
During this year's excursion, participants will visit Mongolia for 10 days starting 21st July; they will study the different aspects of the desert environment and nature, focusing on key species, the challenges they face, the behaviors they exhibit and the adaptations that enable them to survive.
JCC camera crew will accompany the winners to Mongolia during the 'Voyage to the Future' journey and will produce a number of reports to be broadcast later this year.
Arab Children wishing to be part of this phenomenal 'Voyage to the Future', should logon to www.jcctv.net, follow the rules and regulations of the competition and send their answers before the 29th March 2007. Names of the three winners will be announced early April.
