HSBC has enhanced its Air Miles rewards program for its Premier Credit Card customers.
Premier Credit Card customers earn 50% more Air Miles if their monthly spend is above AED 4000. That is 1.5 Air Miles for every AED 1 spent. HSBC Advance customers will now earn 1 Air Miles for every AED 1 spent on the Advance Platinum Credit Card.
Mustafa Ramzi, Head of Card, HSBC UAE said, "Customers expect to be rewarded for their business and their loyalty. At HSBC, we have enhanced our rewards program as a way to further demonstrate our appreciation for that loyalty.
"HSBC is a market leader in the premium card segment and we continually work on improving our proposition. We feel confident that our upgraded rewards programme where customers can earn more miles with less spend, will differentiate us from the competition and provide the best value to our customers."
All HSBC Premier Credit Card customers will be issued a new Gold Air Miles Card enabling them to earn twice as many miles when they use their Gold Air Miles Card together with their HSBC Premier Credit Cards, in over 2000 participating outlets in UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.
Air Miles travel rewards have been made cheaper and simpler to redeem. The number of required miles has been reduced for flight rewards to a number of worldwide destinations including London, Bangkok, Mumbai, Frankfurt and Toronto. Long haul flight redemption miles to popular destinations such as New York, San Francisco and Melbourne have been reduced by up to 15%.
Redeeming miles for flight rewards has also been made simpler to allow customers more choice and flexibility around their air travel. Customers can choose the airline of their choice; there are no blackout periods as well as allowing customers to earn frequent flyer miles on their travels. Travel insurance and airport lounge access is also provided with the HSBC Premier Credit Card.
Ramzi added, "Extensive research in this customer sector has shown us that our Premier customers tend to be the ones who have a global lifestyle with travel rewards and benefits being an integral part of what they see as a true value-add from a credit card."
If flying does not interest the customer, Air Miles can be used for any of the over 1,000 rewards such as spa treatments, jewellery, household products and electronics. Air Miles Gold card members will receive 10% off these non flight rewards.
