Participation Proves a Success for the Airline and Visitors Alike!


Sharjah, UAE, 11 May 2004 – Air Arabia LLC, UAE’s national airline and the first low-cost airline of its kind in the Middle East & North Africa region, showcased itself to regional and international travel trade on the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority stand at the recent Arabian Travel Market 2004.
 
“Not only was ATM a success for the airline with numerous visitors to our stand meeting with senior management, flight and cabin crew, but people were able to sample the Air Arabia experience with actual airline seats – the largest economy seat pitch in the market - and our cabin crew serving a selection of snacks and drinks from our in-flight menu,” said Ali Fairooz, Air Arabia’s Sales & Marketing Director.
 
Air Arabia also received over 5,000 entries to their daily quiz that offered participants the chance to win holidays, five-star accommodation and airline tickets to some of their key destinations - Egypt, Lebanon, Oman and Sri Lanka - through answering questions on the airline itself.
 
Recently completing six months of operations on 28 April, Air Arabia has to date carried over 160,000 passengers to countries within the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent. The airline now offers 13 destinations in 10 countries and flights have increased from 16 a week to 56 a week - catering for increasing customer demands.
 
Air Arabia is a Sharjah government-owned airline which is currently flying from Sharjah to Bahrain daily, Beirut daily, Damascus five days a week, Kuwait four days a week, Muscat four days a week, Alexandria five days a week, Assiut two days a week, Aleppo two days a week, Doha five days a week, Khartoum twice a week, Colombo four days a week, Shiraz twice a week and Tehran three times a week.
