First phase of strategy deployed at World Travel Market

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has revealed that this year's World Travel Market (WTM), being held at ExCeL London - ADNEC's London exhibition centre, from November 10th - 13th 2008, will see the first stage of the brand integration of ADNEC and ExCeL London unveiled.

The integration of the two brands has been designed to align the two venues and represents the first phase of ADNEC's strategy to develop a coherent and consistent product in key exhibition markets around the world.  It has also been developed to assist the ongoing promotion of the emirate of Abu Dhabi being carried out by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and other key Abu Dhabi organisations.

In addition to the brand integration, a delegation from ADNEC will be at the event to position ADNEC as one of the world's leading venue destination developers.

Simon Horgan, ADNEC Group CEO said:  "The World Travel Market is a very important event for us for a variety of reasons: it is the largest event of its type in the world, it's being held at our London venue; it gives us an opportunity to position ourselves as a leading international venue developer and it's the first time the world will see the alignment of the ExCeL and ADNEC brands.  Exhibitions such as World Travel Market are a major reason why ADNEC has invested in ExCeL and I'm delighted that the benefits of this investment are being felt so soon."

ADNEC recently announced that work had begun on Phase 2 expansion of ExCeL London.  When complete in 2010, ExCeL London will be the largest exhibition centre in the UK capital with around 100,000sqm of floor space.  ADNEC will also open the additional exhibition halls of its Abu Dhabi venue on November the 3rd when ADIPEC opens at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
