Doha, Qatar: 28th May, 2014 - ACS International Schools has announced the appointment of Steven Calland-Scoble as Head of School for their Doha campus, effective the next academic calendar. Steven brings to ACS over 20 years of experience that include Head of School at St Gilgen International School, in Austria, and School Director at Pechersk School International, Ukraine.

ACS Doha will continue to build upon the exceptional achievements of its previous Heads of School, Diane Hren and Tom Lehman, through Steven's extensive experience and influence that has brought lasting and positive change as well as improving the reputation and growth of each school in which he has served.

Steven commented on his new role - "I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as the next Head of School at ACS Doha; being offered such an opportunity to further lead the development of the school and to serve its diverse, international community in the coming years is a truly exciting one."

ACS Doha International School has also appointed Robert Cody as Deputy Head of School who joins the school from Pacific Academy in Hawaii, where he held the position of Head of School. Previous to that, Robert was Primary and High School Principal at Northbridge International School in Cambodia. With his vast international experience, ACS will be able to benefit from his rich background in global education within a multi-cultural context.

ACS Doha has recently been authorized to offer both the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. It continues to hold full approval status from the Qatar Supreme Education Council (SEC) and is a member of the European Council for International Schools (ECIS).
