Complete Computing Solution for Small-to-Medium Sized Businesses Offered at GITEX Computer Exhibition

Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd is to aggressively target small-to-medium sized businesses (SMB) across the Middle East, highlighting its range of computing and server solutions, specifically designed for the region's large SMB market, it was announced today at GITEX in Dubai.

Regional IT spending by SMBs is currently at USD$218 million annually, and analysts predict that this figure will rise substantially as more people establish their own businesses, and existing companies expand their operations. Acer, one of the world's top five branded PC vendors, has launched a portfolio of products that will enable greater business efficiency.

Acer is displaying its SMB offering at GITEX, and expert staff are on hand to advise executives which of its many tailored products would be most suitable for their business needs.

Servers, desktops and laptops

Acer has recently introduced custom-built servers for SMBs in the region. The servers, configured to meet the requirements of individual customers, will enable more effective information exchange within companies, and can be built to orders as small as one.

Catering to the SMB desktop market, Acer has the Veriton 3600GT and 7600GT series models. High performance desktop PCs with integrated safety and management functions, the Veriton meets the needs of SMBs across the Middle East.

The Veriton 3600GT and 7600GT were designed and configured by Acer to fit different company needs. They have Intel Hyper-Threading technology, and represent the natural evolution of PCs for optimal network use, and maximum compatibility with company applications.

Acer completes its SMB offering with a range of high performance notebooks, featuring Intel Centrino technology, designed for professionals who need mobility with high performance. The TravelMate 6000 offers superb wireless connectivity with long battery life, and is aimed at SMBs who are looking for an office workhorse that is easily transportable.

The TravelMate 8000 has an eight-hour battery life, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 VGA card, with 128MB of memory. It is aimed at business people who demand maximum functionality from their notebook. The TravelMate 8000 can also be used as a desktop replacement when connected to the optional Acer EasyPort.
