New Laptops Come with Distinctive Customer Oriented Designs for Consumer and Commercial Market Needs

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Acer Computer, the Middle East and Africa's leading supplier of notebook and desktop computers, announced today the Middle East launch of its two distinctive notebook designs based on the latest Intel® Santa Rosa platform - the Aspire Gemstone and TravelMate Profile.

Designed to empower consumers, the new generation of Aspire notebooks will offer the world's first Dolby® Home Theatre for virtual surround sound.

The TravelMate Profile with 'Profile' reflecting portability, protection, and adaptable usability, is designed to empower professionals to reach their highest goals.

Aspire Gemstone signature design

Acer's new Aspire gemstone - elegant, expressive, and versatile with its ergonomic design comes in a shiny jet-black frame. It encases a satin-finished sub layer, with the Acer logo moulded onto the frame. The interior surface, with its ceramic-like finish in grey provides a striking contrast to the darker exterior frame.

Seven touch-sensitive media keys allow for quick media control and an empowering key provides access to 'Acer's Empowering Technology'. The new Aspire gemstone is thinner and lighter in weight.

TravelMate Profile signature design  

Acer's new TravelMate Profile - dependable, reliable, and efficient. Designed as a work tool for business professionals, it comes in a magnesium casing that not only minimises weight, but also provides a higher degree of protection.

The TravelMate combines Acer's qualities of performance and exquisite looks in a refined display of mobile power.
