A special Eid Al Fitr concert will present Hussain Al Jasmi, Balqees, and Eisa Al Marzouq
Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced the launch of a series of Khaleeji concerts to be held throughout 2019. The year-long Hala BilKhaleej celebration is set to feature a varied line up of performers, including A-list artists from the Gulf and the Middle East as well as Khaleeji DJs and bands.
Hala BilKhaleej events will take place during regional and local holidays and celebrations, aiming to attract visitors from the GCC market. Performances will take place on the Eid Al Fitr holiday, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s National Day, the Sultanate of Oman’s National Day, as well as on UAE National Day.
The series will present its Eid Al Fitr concert on the evening of 6 June at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), featuring a headline performance by Hussain Al Jassmi with support from Balqees Fathi and Eisa Al Marzouq. The Eid Al Fitr concert will be complemented by locally-inspired fashion and retail offerings as well as food and beverage offerings from local and regional entrepreneurs in partnership with Festember, a home-grown Emirati company bringing pop culture experiences to Abu Dhabi.
Hala BilKhaleej’s Official Music Partner, Anghami, will also present unique activations for guests. Concert-goers can capture memories at the concert in a special photo booth, or head to the Anghami lounges to share their love of music. Anghami is the first music streaming platform and digital distribution company in the Arab world, providing unlimited Arabic and international music to stream and download.
Tickets for the Eid Al Fitr concert are on sale through Ticketmaster.ae and available for 100 AED (Silver), 180 AED (Gold), and 250 AED (Platinum), in addition to an offer of a 20% discount per ticket for a group booking of four or more. The public can purchase early bird tickets to enjoy a 30% discount until 1 June.
“Launching this exciting new series of Khaleeji music concerts supports DCT Abu Dhabi’s mandate to promote Abu Dhabi as a destination of unmatched entertainment offerings. The Hala BilKhaleej events will cater to both GCC and local audiences who are interested in this specific music genre and experience,” said Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Marketing and Communication Sector, DCT Abu Dhabi. “Khaleeji music is destined to become more important than ever in the years ahead, as it is increasingly gaining in popularity not just locally but also amongst non-Arabic audiences as well.”
Details of dates and artist line-ups for the remaining Hala BilKhaleej concerts will be announced at a later stage.
