Ticket sales nearing sellout as top singers Nancy Ajram and Assi Helani prepare to entertain UAE music lovers tomorrow
Dubai, UAE, May 2, 2007: Nancy Ajram and Assi Helani, two of the Arab world's celebrated singing stars, are set to take Abu Dhabi by storm at the LG Digital Music Festival to be held at the Beach Rotana Hotel tomorrow evening.
Event organisers say that tickets have almost sold out due to the larger-than-life celebrity status of the two stars. The LG Digital Music Festival is a well-established entertainment event in the region, having hosted some of the most popular stars of the region in Qatar, Syria, Beirut and Dubai.
Mr. C. H. Lee, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE, told a press conference in Dubai that the LG Digital Music Festival was an important opportunity for the digital leader to reinforce its strong relationship with the region's entertainment industry and present the region's music lovers with some of the finest entertainment experiences.
"By bringing such internationally acclaimed acts together on one platform, LG Electronics celebrates the thriving cultural environment in the Arab world," Lee added. "Both Nancy Ajram and Assi Helani can connect with their young listeners and I am confident that we are set for a fantastic concert tomorrow."
Nancy Ajram commented, "It is a feeling of pure joy and gratitude to be back in Dubai, a city that defines the cosmopolitan and thriving culture of the Middle East. The LG Digital Music Festival is a successful entertainment concept which brings together people from different countries and I am truly honoured to be here."
Nancy Ajram began her career in the mid-1990s but came to the forefront of the music industry in 2003 with the release of her multiple award-winning album Ya Salam. Subsequent hits followed and Nancy Ajram has now become a household name in the Middle East.
Playing alongside Nancy is equally famed superstar Assi Helani, who is popularly known as the "Arab Knight". Helani began his singing career in 1989 by winning a singing competition and has grown, both in reputation and musical calibre, since then. In 2005, he added his name to the list of celebrities promoting the United Nations' World Food Programme, consolidating his commitment to social responsibility and awareness.
"There was no doubt in my mind when I agreed to sing at the LG Digital Music Festival. It is an amazing opportunity for me to give back to the community that has supported me for so many years. I am excited to see my fans and I hope that I can give them a good show," he added.
On the purchase of the 71-inch Plasma TV, 60-inch Plasma TV, 50-inch Time Machine Plasma TV, 47-inch Full HD LCD TV, Karaoke Home Theatre System or the Hard Disk Home Theatre System, LG customers will be gifted with a free concert ticket worth AED 500. This promotion offer is available at select outlets.
The LG Digital Music Festival will be held at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi on May 3 from 9 pm onwards and is open to the public. Tickets are priced at Dhs 1000, 800 and 500 (inclusive of dinner), and are available at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi. Doors open at 8.30 pm.
