Abu Dhabi City Municipality - Under the patronage of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, the International Conference & Exhibition Geosynthetics Middle East 2015 (GeoME), organized jointly by the German SKZ Plastics Institute, and BMC Abu Dhabi kick starts on Monday 16th November and closes on the following day at Rosewood Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The event aims at building a sustainable and environment-friendly infrastructure as envisioned in Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.

The Municipality's sponsorship of this event, which is one of the key geosynthetic exhibitions in the Middle East, reflects its keen attention to foster its strategic partnerships to serve the sweeping developments & sustainability projects.

Such conferences serve as a platform to examine the newest developments and prospects of using geosynthetics in infrastructure, by using environment-friendly materials in the construction industry.

The Municipality is poised to adopt pioneering sustainable development policies, under the overall strategic plans based on forging close integration of all projects undertaken and services rendered.

The conference also offers an ideal opportunity for geosynthetics specialists and parties interested in environmental issues to exchange knowledge & experiences. It features the participation of more than 300 delegates from 30 countries as geosynthetics materials add high quality and standards to construction projects. By using such materials, the Municipality managed to save more than AED 110 million in projects undertaken, besides curbing carbon dioxide emissions by 15%, and saving time & effort by 20%.

Key industry experts from the world over will present papers on railways, roads, airports, seaports, bridges and tunnels, besides discussing the status quo of landfills and environment protection systems, among other topics involving geosynthetics.

The GeoME 2015 will once again effectively contribute to improving the quality of construction projects, increasing their value, and extending their lifespan.
