In the frame of exchange of experiences and cooperation

Dubai Customs has lately received a delegation from Fujairah Customs who visited the department to get a broader understanding of its HR system. The visit came as part of the mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences between different government departments.

Ms. Eman Saleh Salem Sr. Manager - Organizational Development & HR Support welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the distinctive relations between Dubai Customs and Fujairah Customs in all fields in the service of UAE's higher goals and interests. 

Saleh briefed the visitors with an explanation about Dubai Custom's HR vision and strategy as part of the general strategy of the department 2007 - 2011, which is also an integral part of Dubai Government's overall strategic plan. She said that the HR management works on "moving forward from human resource management to human capital management" as well as other objectives that include developing and improving human capital and instilling the culture of high performance and distinction among its staff.

Ms. Amna Humood Al Suwaidi, Sr. Manager - Talent Management shed light on the tasks of Talent Management which include planning and specifying the needed workforce, nationalization and work performance assessment. She also outlined the department's employment methodology and employment procedures. 

For his part, Rashid Al Murr, senior public relations officer at Fujairah Customs expressed his deep thanks towards Dubai Customs and reaffirmed the excellent long ties that bond the two departments. He said that Fujairah Customs, ever since its establishment in 1982, has always exchanged expertise and information with the highly experienced Dubai Customs. He showed admiration to the work of the HR management at Dubai Customs and said that the visit was fruitful. He added that they would seek to benefit from the system implemented at Dubai Customs, as they benefited from some of Dubai Customs' clearance procedures some years ago.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Kamal Mohammed Amara, Sr. Manager - Training and Development, Ms. Maryam Naser Al Shamsi, HR Specialist, Ms. Hessa Al Suwaidi, Sr. Officer - Training and Development. From Fujairah Customs it was attended Sayeed Obaid Al-Muaili, Head of inspection sections.

At the end of the visit the two parties exchanged the shields of Dubai Customs and Fujairah Customs to express the strong ties between them.
