Movement Gives You Joy - Find yours
Dubai, November 21, 2006 - A celebration of movement will be hosted at Deira City Centre Mall on the 23 and 24 November.
What brings you joy? Dancing? Spending time with friends or family? Playing sports? Visiting a new restaurant? Holidays, shopping or playing with your children?
All these things become so very hard to do when you're in pain. For the 65% of the UAE population suffering from lower back pain right now, easy and fluid movement is an impossibility.
Movement Gives You Joy - a celebration of pain-free movement - will commence at 5pm and feature the skills of the celebrated yoga instructor [insert name]. Sponsored by Voltaren Emulgel for Novartis Consumer Health, we welcome you down to enjoy the show and [insert name]'s elaborate yoga positions and demonstrations of flexibility.
On hand to offer advice on preventing back pain by changing sleeping, working and even driving habits is expert physiotherapist Nik Jordan, a Swiss physiotherapist Bsc. from the Osteopathic Health Centre. Nik Jordan comments, "It's not just office workers or labourers at risk - mothers picking up their children, kids carrying backpacks, taxi drivers, athletes and a whole host of others can benefit from this event."
He adds "rising levels of back pain have been linked to obesity, smoking and our increasingly sedentary lifestyles. Most cases can be effectively treated by specific exercises, manipulative therapy and medication to diminish the inflammation and relieve the pain."
A treatment such as Voltaren Emulgel can bring relief to those suffering from a variety of ailments - such as arthritis, post-operative pain, acute injury and menstrual pain. Side effect free, it reduces swelling and tackles the root of the pain, unlike other superficial medications that simply cover it up.
For those of you feeling lucky, two luxurious spa days at the five-star Kempinski Hotel - situated in the Mall of the Emirates - are up for grabs. Simply come down and complete a raffle form and an exclusive pampering session could be yours.
