Dubai, 14 April 2007: The Etisalat Academy's eCompetency Center today announced that it has started offering the 'Competency designing and Job Analyzing'. The academy organizes this program in collaboration with SHL Group International.
Twenty participants, all chief executives, heads of HR departments or skill development managers representing Dubai Police, Dubai Courts, Organization and Management Department of Abu Dhabi, Burooj, Etisalat and STC and other private sector companies.
The program included training sessions on latest theories on designing structures of competencies and attaching it to Human Resources (HR) systems and career development programs. The program also discussed the importance of analyzing and designing job descriptions using the latest global practices.
Participants ensured the importance of applying latest theories in competency designing in HR systems in public and private sector institutes. These theories are of a functional benefit in minimizing training, development and other organizational budgets.

Miriam Mohammad, Competency Center Manager, said "The eCompetency center has now successfully organized five training courses of Structure design and analysis of functional competencies and job description' since the year 2007. All 50 companies that participated in the earlier courses were accredited with the international license for performance assessment from the Psychological Society and SHL Group International. Based on the response we received from the participating companies, we are going to offer more programs."
Through specialized programs, the centre aims to develop the skills for professionals working in the Human Resources field, as well as expanding the culture of competency systems, career guidance and development. The programs applied by the centre, in collaboration with leading global and British companies, proved to be successful in enhancing the performance of several companies by elevating employees' productivity levels.
