Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday on a positive performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up 21.54 points, or 0.28%, to 7,714.6 points.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 13.2 million shares exchanged through 12,500 transactions with a turnover of SAR 317 million.

The pharmaceuticals, telecommunication services, banking, and materials sectors increased 0.82%, 0.46%, 0.36%, and 0.36%, respectively.

On the other hand, the healthcare sector fell 0.79%, while retailing inched down 0.65%.

Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s (MedGulf) stock topped gainers with 6.7%, whereas the Saudi Cable Company’s stock dropped 2.46%.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, Nomu, remained unchanged at 2,583.17 points.
