Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading in green territory, helped by the growth of four sectors.

By 09:05 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.17% to 8,959.36 points, adding 15.61 points.

The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 45.2 million after 855,400 shares were exchanged through 478 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.39% as United Development grew 0.65%.

Similarly, the industrial sector levelled up 0.27%, boosted by Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding which increased 1.7%, while the banking sector went up 0.26% as Masraf Al Rayan rose 1.32%.

On the flipside, the transportation sector topped the bourse’s decliners falling 0.83%, dragged by Qatar navigation’s 2.14% drop, while the telecommunication sector went down 0.15% as Vodafone Qatar decreased 0.46%.

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 309,500 shares, while Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which inched up 0.04%, topped the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 28.3 million.
