Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of four sectors.

By 10:25 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.27% to 9,796.64 points, adding 26.21 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 32.4 million after 2.3 million shares were traded through 715 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.28% as United Development Company rose 2.10%.

Similarly, the banking sector jumped 0.39% on the back of Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding’s 0.96% increase.

On the other hand, the industrial sector was the bourse’s only decliner falling 0.06% after Qatari Investors Group retreated 0.82%.

United Development Company’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 6.6 million, while Qatari Investors Group’s stock headed the market in terms of trading volume with 1.1 million shares.
