Qatar - Ahli Bank has reported a net profit of QR205mn for the first three months of 2023, an increase of 6.9% over the same period last year.

“I am pleased to announce that the bank started the year 2023 with this continued strong performance despite global headwinds and demonstrates that we are heading on the right trajectory with our chosen strategy,” said Ahlibank Qatar chairman Sheikh Faisal bin AbdulAziz bin Jassem al-Thani.

Highlighting that the bank has delivered a steady financial performance for the first quarter of 2023; Hassan Ahmed AlEfrangi, Ahlibank’s chief executive officer said it has embarked on an ambitious strategy with the aim of growing its business and deepening relationships with the customers, meeting more of their financial needs.

“Our purpose-driven strategy with focus on business development initiatives, technology and digitisation programmes are more relevant now with the recent announcement of the Qatar Central Bank fintech sector strategy in support of the Qatar National Vision 2030. We are excited about the opportunities ahead,” he said.
