Operations at Citgo Petroleum Corp's 418,000 barrel-per-day Lake Charles, Louisiana refinery were continuing at reduced rates due to third-party power issues caused by cold weather, the company said in an emailed statement.

Some units at its 67,500 barrel-per-day (bpd) Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery were shut on Monday due to the widespread power outages.

"Safe start-up plans are still being finalized subject to the re-establishment of third party services. In the meantime, we are discussing the restart of operations and potential timing with our suppliers and customers," the company said in the statement.
