Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has urged people to take caution and not to risk crossing overflowing wadis in some Oman's governorates.

All valleys between the Wilayats of Sohar and Shinas in the North Al Batinah Governorate and in Al Wadi Al Heyool in the Wilayat of Mahdah in the Al Buraimi Governorate have been overflowing," CDAA said in a statement.

Rescue teams were able to bring two persons stranded in their vehicles, out of danger, in a Wadi in the Wilayat of Liwa, North Al Batinah Governorate, said CDAA.

The authority calls upon citizens and residents not to risk crossing valleys in order to preserve lives and properties.
