Muscat: Organisers of charter flights being used to repatriate Indian nationals to their home states in Oman must ensure they follow all the pre-boarding procedures listed by the state to which they are flying.
The Embassy of India in Muscat has issued new procedures for community organisation and corporations that wish to charter aircraft, as well as the air transport operator (ATO) or airline that will be operating them.
“The corporate/community organisation wishing to operate a chartered flight may identify an air transport operator (ATO),” said a statement from the embassy. “The ATO may contact the nodal point of the state government concerned directly with flight proposals and passenger manifests.”
The formats for flight proposal, passenger manifest and list of nodal points in various Indian states are being made available to all airlines operating to and from Oman.
“It will be the responsibility of corporate/community organisation and the ATO to ensure that the conditions of the concerned state government in respect of quarantine, COVID testing as well as any other requirements are complied with scrupulously,” they added.
Any change in the flight date/time needs to be conveyed to the state government and embassy immediately. In case any clarification about these operations are required, the embassy may be contacted by email on
