Cairo – Mubasher: An EgyptAir special flight carrying a total of 298 stranded Egyptians from Kuwait arrived in Marsa Alam International Airport on Tuesday as part of Egypt’s efforts to bring home all nationals stuck overseas, Egypt's Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs said in a statement.

The repatriated passengers have been transferred to the quarantine dormitories where they will be quarantined for 14 days as per the health ministry’s precautions, according to the Middle East News Agency.

Earlier this week, representatives of the Egyptian embassy in Kuwait reassured Egyptian workers in shelters dedicated for Kuwait’s residency violators that the return flights would begin this week.

Moreover, the embassy referred that the repatriation flights for the aforementioned violators are being coordinated with the Kuwaiti authorities as the latter provided the Egyptian embassy with all data of those held in the shelters last week.

Two flights carrying women, elderlies, and children will be operated this week, to be followed by some others during the coming period, the statement added.

The embassy further clarified that the quarantine sites dedicated to the violators are being prepared in consideration of their requests and conditions.
