Muscat International Airport welcomed the first flight of Switzerland's Edelweiss Air was greeted with a conventional water spray salute. The airline will operate two flights between Muscat and Zurich on Tuesday and Friday.


Oman Airports said that since the opening of the new passenger terminal at Muscat International Airport, it has been seeking to attract regional and international airlines that is reflected on the growing demand by both passengers and airlines to Muscat driven by Muscat Airport’s comprehensive services.


Swiss Edelweiss Airline has four Airbus A340-313 airplanes for long haul routes and 10 Airbus A320 for short and medium-haul routes.
