KUWAIT CITY - In coordination with Kuwait Engineers Society, Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) alongside the Ministry of Higher Education, and Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) are set to implement new conditions for renewing the residencies of expatriate engineers employed in public sector- as part of measures to rectify demographic imbalance, reports Al-Rai daily.

Graduates of the Faculty of Law identified as lawyers on the work permit are also required to provide law certificate, with relevant certificates for doctors, pharmacists and teachers based on their line of work.

The daily quoting knowledgeable sources pointed out that the idea of linking the issuance or renewal of residencies for engineers to accreditation of their certificates by Kuwait Engineers Society has contributed to a great extent in curbing the phenomenon of fake certificates over and above certificates issued by unrecognized universities.

He reiterated concerned institutions within the next few months will sign protocols with stakeholders such as Kuwait Lawyers Society and other medical and pharmaceutical societies in this concern
