Cairo -  Egypt’s Senate approved in principle the draft unified public finance law, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Sunday.

The bill aims to regulate the financial system through merging the State Public Budget Law No. 53 of 1973 with the Government Accountancy Law No. 127 of 1981.

The draft law comes in line with the country’s efforts to implement legislative reform, improve economic indicators, and keep up with the latest international practices with the aim of achieving the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
