DUBAI- Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, received Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, and his delegation.

The meeting was also attended by P. Rajeeve, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir in the Government of Kerala, Sunjay Sudhir, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Saif Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Human Resources Affairs, Yousef Ali, Chairman of the Lulu Group, and several officials from both sides.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation headquarters in Dubai, the two sides discussed ways of strengthening their labour cooperation.

Al Awar reiterated the UAE’s welcome to Indian investors and employees, highlighting the deep-rooted historical ties between the two nations.

He also stressed the UAE’s keenness to assist businesses and create an investment-friendly environment by implementing policies and legislations that attracts investment, protects workers’ rights and maintains employer and employee relations, including launching a new labour law.

Vijayan highlighted his side’s keenness to enhance bilateral ties with the UAE, which plays a critical regional and international role in developing partnerships between labour groups.

The Emirati labour market is one of the safest destinations for Indian investors and workers, he added.
