Arab Finance: Shell is looking forward to injecting further investments in Egypt, Cedric Cremers, President of Integrated Gas at Shell, noted in a meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
Cremers lauded Egypt’s measures to maximize the utilization of the Idku LNG plant, highlighting strong growth potential in the gas sector amid increasing regional connectivity and efforts to optimize East Mediterranean resources.
During the meeting, Badawi emphasized that the partnership with Shell backs Egypt’s expansion in natural gas exploration and production, noting that its program has helped increase local production and reduce the gas import bill.
The minister also asserted Egypt's commitment to settling partners' dues, a positive step toward fostering an attractive investment environment.
