Egypt’s index of manufacturing and extractive industries, excluding crude oil and petroleum products, fell by 2.13% month-on-month (MoM) to 108.1 points in December 2022 from 110.45 points, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The index of pharmaceuticals and chemical industries increased by 3.22% to 127.96 points in December 2022 from 123.97 points in November, the state-run statistics agency revealed.

On the other hand, the index of electronics production declined by 7.34% to 111.23 points last December, compared to 120.4 points in November.

Moreover, the index of papers production dropped 12.78% MoM to 66.68 points in December 2022 from 76.45 points.
