RIYADH — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan said that the amount of aid that Saudi Arabia has provided over 7 decades has reached $95 billion in 160 beneficiary countries around the world.

Prince Faisal made the remarks on Monday during the third edition of the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, which comes under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, with the presence of Emir of Riyadh Prince Faisal Bin Bandar.

During the Forum, Prince Faisal has confirmed that Saudi Arabia’s Kings, since its founding, have been harnessing its capabilities to serve humanitarian issues, lend a helping hand to alleviate the suffering of those affected, and provide them with relief without any racial or religious discrimination.

In the midst of geopolitical and economic crises and challenges, the Kingdom continues to make progress in its humanitarian and developmental giving, which resulted in making it at the forefront of donors of development and humanitarian aid to low- and middle-income countries, with an amount exceeding $7 billion, Prince Faisal said.

He also mentioned that Saudi Arabia’s latest humanitarian efforts are the direction of King Salman and the Crown Prince to operate an air bridge, and provide varied humanitarian aid, organizing a popular campaign to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

The Kingdom has worked proactively to limit the deterioration of the situation of the affected countries and societies, and sought to find practical and effective solutions through regional and international cooperation, Prince Faisal noted.
