DOHA: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) inaugurated yesterday a service station in the Al Daayen area. This is the 13th service station in the Woqod image.
The opening ceremony was attended by Woqod's Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Mohammed Turki Al Sobai. Also attending were members of the board of directors of Woqod, guests, Woqod employees and suppliers.
"This is the third of three new service stations that Woqod has opened within the last two months", Al Sobai stated.
"Today Woqod brings its' service station and convenience offer to the Al Daayen community in Qatar. This service station includes the full range of products and services that our customers have come to expect. There is a large modern forecourt, an improved Sidra convenience store with manual and automatic car washes, tire and polishing services, and quick lube change.
The Sidra convenience store also consists of a large coffee shop, an ATM and Qtel payment automated facilities, an Internet café, and QPost post boxes, but the primary focus is on fresh and fast food."
Woqod at Al Daayen is conveniently located on the Doha-Al Khor road.
The next Woqod service station to open is located on Salwa Road just past the earth satellite stations at Rawdat Rashed. It will open by the end of September.
In addition, 10 more Woqod service stations are under construction across Qatar to open within the next 12 months. These will open from December 2011 onwards.
Woqod's expansion plans also include the opening of Sidra, its stand-alone convenience store at Katara (Cultural Village) and at the Students' Center at the Education City, with another branch to open in the new Woqod Tower in West Bay.
