VFS Global, the outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide, has appointed Dr Elena Primikiri as its first head of ESG (environmental, social and governance).
 
She joined VFS Global in June 2021, based in Dubai, and will report directly to the CEO, Zubin Karkaria. Dr Primikiri will be responsible for increasing the sustainability components and ESG initiatives of VFS Global – from strategy formulation and implementation to operational control.
 
Nirbhik Goel joined the company in July as Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer and is based out of Dubai.
 
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Bernard Martyris, Goel will be responsible for streamlining the HR function, ensuring greater operational synergies between the HR function across all regions and support the CHRO in HR matters and policy development.
 
These appointments follow Bapsy Dastur’s appointment as General Counsel and head of Corporate Risk, Compliance & Legal last year. A qualified solicitor, Dastur was inducted to the Executive Board of VFS Global in 2021, as the first woman board member.
 
With 3,498 application centres, operations in 144 countries across five continents and more than 229 million applications processed (since inception in 2001) as on May 31, 2021, VFS Global is the partner of 63 client governments.-TradeArabia News Service
