Jeddah, November 12, SPA -- Ambassador of the UN Development Program for Goodwill Mission Sami Jaber, the former captain of the Saudi Football team, visited here today Dar-al-fikr schools in Jeddah within the framework of the program being carried out by the UN for the service of the mankind and environment.
He met the students of the intermediate and secondary stages as well as the female students through closed-circuit television in the presence of Director General of the schools Abdel-Kadir Mohammed al-Bakri and official of the UN's development program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Salahuddin Abdel-Salam.
Al-Jaber briefed the audience on the UN's programs for the protection of the environment and water as well as on the climatic changes and the various environmental problems.
He disclosed that an international contest will be announced by the UN on photography and the environmental problems.
