In accordance with modern international standards in the global telecommunication landscape and in a bid to meet its customer's expectations, the historical Tunisian mobile network operator, "Tunisie Telecom" has recently launched its new offer, "Segounda a one-second billing system.
"Tunisie Telecom" new subscribers will enjoy from January 13 to 31, 2010 free access to "Segounda".
For any call made on the local, land and GSM network of "Tunisie Telecom" charges 5 millimes per second, instead of a set per minute billing rate used before.
The telecommunications landscape in Tunisia currently registers 9 million subscribers. "Tunisie Telecom" which has 4, 3 million customers throughout the country, shares the market with "Tunisiana", an "Orascom" company. As of February 2010, The French internet and mobile phone provider, "Orange" will start operating 3G, Internet and line services throughout Tunisia.
