Turkey will provide $750 million in loans to Tunisia and Libya, Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said in Tripoli on Tuesday (January 24th).

Arriving Monday in Tunis at the head of a large Turkish business delegation, Caglayan signed a $500 million-loan agreement aimed at helping the Tunisian economy recover from the impact of the 2011 revolution.

The partnership between the countries will be further strengthened by agreements in industry, tourism and other sectors, TAP reported. A proposed Tunisian-Turkish free trade zone is also expected to encourage investments.
