MUSCAT -- Chae Kwang-ok, president of Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd, is currently visiting Oman for the first time along with Jung Moon-sung, managing director (Overseas Division) and Lim Joong-woo, assistant manager (Overseas Marketing). The visit is to express their appreciation to Al Hashar & Co. for the success of Novus trucks in Oman, the sales of which have seen a 250 per cent growth in the past two years alone. The officials will also discuss the business expectations for the year 2009.

Tata Daewoo is the second largest heavy-duty commercial vehicle manufacturer of Korea producing cargo, dumpers, tractors, mixers and special purpose vehicles. Earlier a member of Daewoo Group, one of the largest conglomerates of Korea, it was acquired by Tata Motors in March 2004. Tata Motors is the world's second largest medium and heavy bus manufacturer and the fifth largest manufacturer of medium and heavy commercial vehicles.

Al Hashar & Co has been associated with Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle since 2004 offering a complete range of heavy-duty trucks with varying configurations according to customer requirement. The company's parts and service locations in Azaiba and Ruwi in Muscat area and six interior locations that offer quick and reliable after sales support for the vehicles sold in Oman.
