Muscat – Sohar Municipality handed over 29 housing units to citizens of social security families and people with a limited income.

Disclosing this, Eng Salim bin Hamad al Kindi, director general of Sohar Municipality, said the housing units were handed over with the provision of a number of electrical and household appliances in line with the projects under the Social Housing Programme in North Batinah governorate.

“The municipality will implement its programme in social housing projects in accordance with approved plans and budgets,” he added.

Kindi disclosed that the number of housing units that were delivered during the last five years under the Social Housing Programme for Sohar Municipality has reached 217, including those delivered on Sunday.
