Riyadh – The total number of contracts and awards submitted through the Etimad platform reached 96,166 until the end of September 2020, with a total value of SAR 142 billion, the Saudi Ministry of Finance (MoF) said on Wednesday.

This is compared to 122,681 contracts and awards worth SAR 251 billion in the same period in 2019.

The number of licenced contracts and awards reached 1,813 at SAR 70 billion while registered contracts and awards amounted to 75,000 at SAR 18 billion and existing contracts and awards hit 19,000 at SAR 54 billion.

Since its launch, the number of Etimad users grew to 129,272 by September-end, up by 62% from 79,590 in the year-ago period.

In 2019, a total of 174,900 contracts and awards worth SAR 269.8 billion were submitted via the digital platform.

The Electronic Government Procurement System, the Etimad Portal, is one of the cornerstones of the kingdom’s e-government. It works to consolidate and facilitate the process of bidding and government procurement for all government sectors.

The portal is an entirely digital gateway for posting government tenders, receiving invitations, obtaining fascicles, surveying bids, and awarded contracts.
