ZāZEN Properties, a leading sustainable property developer in the UAE, has announced that 75% of the units at its off-plan development within the Al Furjan community in Dubai have been sold out.

A Leed-Gold-certified development, ZāZEN Gardens features a total of 159 apartments with apartments spanning from 824 to 1,612 sq ft, as well as two retail outlets on the ground floor.

With more than 25% of construction work already completed, it is due for handover in April next year.

The Emirati developer pointed out that pre-construction developments have played an instrumental role in shaping this growth in recent years with off-plan transactions increasing by 86% since 2021.

This trend has continued in 2023; off-plan property sales increased by 42.1% over the first two months of this year when compared to the same period last year, it stated.

ZāZEN pointed out that as the off-plan sector continues to flourish, it will accelerate the UAE’s D33 objectives which include reaching a total of AED650 billion in investment by 2033.

Developers are accordingly innovating to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and bolster the country’s economy, with wellness residential developments slowly starting to take off in popularity, it added.

Co-founder and COO Madhav Dhar said: "The UAE’s real estate sector is an investor’s market. It offers some of the highest returns on investment in the world while boasting prices that are still lower when compared to other major global cities. As the country continues to embark on achieving ambitious growth targets, off-plan properties will remain a driving force."

Construction, he stated, has played a significant part in boosting the UAE economy, representing 6% of Dubai’s GDP and a historical average of 8-9% in recent years.

As developers innovate with their off-plan projects, they will simultaneously transform the country’s real estate sector, bolster its international competitiveness, and enhance the environment, he noted.

"Since entering Dubai’s real estate market, ZāZEN Properties has innovated through ZāZEN One, a sustainable community living development that was launched last year, sold out in a matter of months, and won multiple awards along the way," remarked Dhar.

The company’s latest project, ZāZEN Gardens, adds to its portfolio of industry-revolutionizing projects and is setting the benchmark for high-quality, sustainable and affordable residential projects in Dubai, he added.
