Doha: Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development announced the establishment of its Board of Trustees and the restructuring of its Board of Directors yesterday. H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser will chair the Board of Trustees and will continue as Chairperson of the Board of Directors. H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and
H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani as Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
Qatar Foundation's Board of Trustees will direct the organisation's growth, strategy, and development, in line with its mission and vision.
The seven-member Board of Trustees is headed by Sheikha Moza as Chairperson, while Sheikh Tamim is the Vice Chairperson. Other members are H E Sheikh Jassem bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, H E Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad Al Thani and Eng Saad bin Ebrahim Al Muhannadi.
The eight-member Board of Directors comprises Sheikha Moza as Chairperson, Sheikha Hind as Vice Chairperson, H E Yousef Hussein Kamal, H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, H E Dr Abdullah bin Hussain Al Kubaisi, H E Dr Sheikha bint Abdulla Al Misnad, Dr Mazen Al Jaida as members. The President of Qatar Foundation will be Ex Officio Member of the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors will focus on strengthening the organisation's vision, mission and strategy, as well as overseeing the implementation of various Qatar Foundation initiatives and projects.
