DOHA - H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the Qatar Museums Authority. (QMA) has appointed Humod Mahana Al Ramel Al Mannai as Chief Executive Officer of QMA with effect from May 1.

Mannai obtained a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in 1984 from Southern Illinois University. He has received extensive training covering technical management and Quality Management, said a release yesterday.

Mannai started his professional career at the Industrial Development Technical Center. He then worked for Qafco where he held many leadership positions, notably Vice Chairman of the Gulf Formaldehyde Company. He is also a member of the National Committee for Oil and Gas.

Mannai has contributed to many successful projects in Qatar like Qafco-4 for which he held the position of 'Project Manager', Qatar Melamine Project and Qafco -5 Project.
