DOHA: Avineon India Private Limited (Avineon India), a Hyderabad-based company specialising in engineering, information technology and geospatial solutions, yesterday signed a new contract with RasGas to provide comprehensive drafting services to consolidate the as-built status of RasGas' existing facilities.

This will include various types of CAD drawings including raster, AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDS 2D, PDS 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, and INTools.

The contract will remain in effect for three years starting from August 2005. During this period, Avineon India expects to update approximately 5,000 drawings. The plan is to convert, migrate, and update the P&IDs, general arrangements, 3D models, instrumentation, electrical, structural, and civil drawings and databases in the appropriate Intergraph product formats, said a press statement issued yesterday.

After an extensive tender evaluation, RasGas selected Avineon India based on the company's history of providing high quality services to Ras Gas, experience with Intergraph products, ISO 9001:2000 quality processes, engineering knowledge and competitive pricing.

Avineon has extensive experience in providing detail engineering and plant design automation support including updating as-built drawings and providing engineering data conversion services in PDS, SmartPlant, INTools, PDMS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc while meeting various industry standards and specifications.
