For the first time in the history of oil industry it has become possible to issue permit for manufacturing domestically-made equipment and procuring engineering infrastructures for mass production of products that have desirable standards.
Oil Minister Massoud Mirkazemi issued the order for fulfilling the said assignment. Based on the permit, the standards for equipment manufactured locally will be controlled while the production line will be launched and its performance will be verified by seasoned experts, Mehr News Agency reorted.
Issuance of permit for producing equipment requires close cooperation of Oil Industry Research Center, reference laboratories, Society of Manufacturers of Oil industry Equipment and Iran Oil Society.
Reference labs can measure quality of products so that manufactured products will comply with standards. Previously, the weakness of equipment produced locally was absence of possibility for standard testing of products. But, now management of this task has been ceded to Oil Industry Research Center to identify labs which are capable of running standard tests and also interact with universities of the country for creating a unified mode of operation.
Meanwhile, for gaining assurances about the locally produced equipment being standard for mass production, special workgroups have been established for organizing related production lines.
These workgroups are verified by ministries of industries and mines as well as oil and have been established through the assistance of Society of manufacturers of Oil industry Equipment and Iran Oil Society. This way if the workgroup verifies standard tests, it will become possible to issue quality license.
