The first exclusive "haute joaillerie" brand to come out of Dubai has made its international debut at the Burj Al Arab.

The 'Rajesh Popley' Signature collection currently comprises 90 individually designed pieces of exquisite jewellery encrusted with diamonds, pink sapphires, rubies, emeralds and pearls. The collection is inspired by nature, femininity and emotions.

"I see beauty in every aspect of life and have tried to capture this through my jewellery," said Rajesh Popley, who comes from a family that has been designing and creating classical, luxurious jewellery for over 75 years.

"I have endeavoured to create the most desirable jewellery in the world a brand of haute joaillerie which transcends cultures, boundaries and time, a collection where each piece is a celebration of beauty, emotion and individuality bound together by a common thread passion."

Popley has carefully overseen every step in the creation of his collection in tandem with some of the world's finest ateliers in Europe. "The combination of extraordinary talent, skill and passion has ensured that each piece is brought to life to tell its own unique story."

The launch showcased some of the key pieces in the Rajesh Popley Signature Collection. They were the L'Orchis collection comprising earrings, necklace and brooch; Isis necklace, earrings and ring; Via Stella earrings and brooch; Serafina, Espacio, L'orchis Rouge and Jehan rings; Enki earrings, bangle and necklace; Delphine necklace and Tia and Printemps earrings.

"The L'Orchis earrings, necklace and brooch, the flagship pieces in the collection inspired by the beauty and shape of the orchid, are a stunning collaboration of white diamonds, pink sapphires and rubies," said Popley.

"They took more than nine months to create and are a true labour of love."
