MUSCAT -- www.oman-qaboos.net has been launched in seven languages. The project will be presented as a gift to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the 38th National Day.
The website can be viewed in all browser resolutions in languages such as Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Hindi, Persian and Korean. As a result, the site stands unique in the number of languages used for any celebrity website around the globe. There are sections on His Majesty's birth, education, interests, achievements, speeches, photo gallery and a rare collection of national songs in the site.
The photo gallery has images collected on His Majesty's hobbies, personal and political life, and due importance has also been given to special images of Oman. The project is described as an effort to present an opportunity for people speaking various languages around the globe to know more about His Majesty in their own languages. There are plans to add more languages to the site in the future, thus increasing its reach. The website has been designed by Hamoud bin Mohammed bin Salim Alazri.
